Asian Dramas

Here you will find all the Korean, Chinese, and even Thai dramas I've watched recently. My favorite tropes/genres are usually enemies to lovers, found family, and slice of life. I typically lean towards dramas where the characters are more mature and closer to my age, So with the exception of a time travel plotline, you probably won't find any high school dramas on this list very often.

TheFirstNightWithTheDuke

The First Night with the Duke (2025)
Genre: Time Travel/Romance/Comedy
No. of Episodes: 12
Where to Watch: Viki
Rating: ★ ★ ★
Thoughts so far: From the first episode this show wastes no time in pulling the main lead and the viewer into the world of this historical novel. It had my attention in minutes and I'm so excited to see where the show is headed. So far I really enjoy the fact that the FL is very self aware of the cliches of the novel she loves so much so she can logically work out problems in this universe from the knowledge she gained from reading it in the "real world".

KDH

KPOP Demon Hunters (2025)
Genre: Action/Comedy/Romance
Where to Watch: Netflix
Rating: ★ ★ ★
Thoughts: This should have been released in theaters I would have gone! Animation? incredible. soundtrack? AS addicting as the Kpop music I listen to and truly will be a gateway from those that aren't interested in the genre (I'm calling it now).

TheLawCafe

The Law Cafe (2022)
Genre: Legal Drama/Romance/Comedy
No. of Episodes: 16
Where to Watch: Viki
Rating: ★ ★
Synopsis: A bright and quirky lawyer wants to open a cafe that offers free legal advice; the cafe she wants is owned by her wealthy and well-connected first love; she must stand having her ex as her landlord long enough to get her cafe off the ground.
Thoughts: I enjoyed how sure of herself the female lead was. Because the characters seem to know what they want and talk out their feelings, the miscommunication trope was kept to a minimum. There was some "male lead doesn't want to tell the FL his true feelings until the drama in his life has been sorted" but it wasn't enought to annoy me, I understood where he was coming from and I didn't mind it too much.

MyDearestNemesis

My Dearest Nemesis (2025)
Genre: Romance/Comedy
No. Episodes: 16
Where to Watch: Viki
Rating: ★ ★
This show follows Baek So-Jung, a team leader at Yongseong Department store who has a reputation for being a stickler towards her Bosses. When the new director and heir to the company, Ban Joo-Yeon comes to fill the role of the previous one who quit, their hard-headed personalities clash and unknowing to them, they've met before which will bring up an awkward incident that happened between them 16 years ago that shaped both of their lives.
Thoughts: Very cute drama about embracing your hobbies and interests that help you cope with life. It was fairly lighthearted and didn't take itself too seriously. You can add this drama to the ongoing list of "Loveable Loser" male leads.

Blossom

Blossom (2024)
Genre: Romance/Time Travel
No. of Episodes: 40
Where to Watch: Viki
Rating: Still watching

Norway

My Favorite Films

Most of these films offer me comfort during times where I feel low and others are just nostalgic watches.

practical magic

Practical Magic (1998)

GOD my dream is to be a lil witch on a coastal town. This movie has everything: sisterhood, witch craft, summoning the dead, margaritas!!!! beautiful witchy homes. Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock are so fucking gorgeous in this, it's so distracting.

KDH

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2000)

This movie is one of the reasons why I love vampires so much. My brother had a burned copy of this movie when we were younger and I would also ask to watch this in his room while he gamed. 13 year old me was enamored by the story telling and the visuals. VHD is 25 years old and the animation still holds up. I am confident in saying that this is the most beautiful animation I've ever seen in my entire life.

Pride Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice (2005)

Don't even try to talk to me while this is on because I can assure you I'm not listening to a word you're saying. The love I have for Pride and Prejudice knows no bounds. It's my #1 comfort watch.

the craft

The Craft (1996)

The holy grail of witch movies in my opinion. every edgy bitch loves this.

hellraiser

Hellraiser (1987)

My go to movie when it's October. I love body horror and this one is disgusting! exposed flesh, chains, leather, etc.

The Witch

The VVitch (2015)

This movie made me obsessed with period accurate dialog and costumes. I don't know why this feels like Slice of Life to me, it's not so much scary as it is hauntingly beautiful.

paterson

Paterson (2016)

I love Slice of Life movies and this one is just the best. Nothing happens and you're just following Adam Driver as he drives a bus and writes poetry and loves his quirky wife who is an artist who changes hobbies every day. shit is so nice.

detectives

Watching the Detectives (2007)

When I was in junior high i went down a rabbit hole of Cillian Murphy movies (I love him sm) and I found this movie and was obsessed. Was it a good movie? probably not but it's your typical rom-com from the early 00s' that has a place in my heart, I think I was so starved for Asian representation in a romance that the moment I saw Lucy Liu in this I was like THIS IS MY SHIT. He's a loser and she's your manic pixie dream girl that tortures him with mind games. that's all you need to know.

inthemoodforlove

In the Mood for Love (2000)

Despite being a hopeless romantic, I really enjoy watching doomed romance movies. Ones where you knew it wasn't going to work out and if there was a yearning competition this one takes the cake. I usually only ever put this on when I'm really going through it.
